The ARC-Addington Fund is a registered charity that helps farming families. Its main work is the Strategic Rural Housing Scheme. It buys houses specifically for those who lose their home as a result of leaving their farm and cannot finance a house on the open market. In exceptional circumstances its Trustees' Discretionary Fund may be able to help with cash grants for unforseen business costs in cases of financial hardship.

Scottish Charity No. SC009828

RSABI (formerly The Royal Scottish Agricultural Benevolent Institution) is the Scottish charity dedicated to the relief of hardship and poverty among people who have depended on the land.  Anyone who has worked in agriculture, forestry, horticulture game-keeping and rural estate work may be eligible, as well as their dependants.  Assistance can be given in the form of crisis grants, annual payments or in kind, depending on circumstances. The charity now also operates a confidential listening service entitled “GATEPOST”.
