in a school and could form a component of a diploma
or certificate course.
Undergraduate
Where the research project is undertaken as part of a
first degree or independently at this level of education.
Postgraduate
The research is either a component of a structured course
eg Ph D or undertaken by qualified graduates.
Postdoctoral
Research conducted by highly qualified people usually in
an academic or research establishment.
Commercial Provider
Research undertaken by a charitable or commercial
organisation for the direct benefit of defined
sectors of the industry.
